PRIVATE SECTOR STUDIOS
The Private Sector is Chromeo’s recording and production studio in Burbank, CA, as well as Juliet Records’ headquarters. Established in 2016, the studio consists of a production room, a tracking room and a live room.
Every piece of equipment, furniture, art — down to the lighting knobs and the collection of vintage photography magazines — has been carefully curated by Chromeo. As such, it is a completely immersive environment.
The Chromeo-produced Juliet releases are the result of our artist in residence program, where musicians spend an extended amount of time at The Private Sector, with the entirety of Chromeo’s equipment at their disposal. The first step towards joining this program is to submit a 2-3 song demo, which can be done here.

EQUIPMENT LIST
The studio comes equipped with ProTools DAW, a selection of outboard preamps, microphones, drum kits, guitars and bass guitars, amps, vintage drum machines and keyboards. Please note that we do not have a mixing console. However, the main draw is Chromeo’s extensive collection of vintage synthesizers, which define their sound. Here are 20 favorites.
